may you have your attention, please

Everything is pulling at our attention and separating us from our bodies, ourselves, and each other. Even this email is a distraction from being in the present, but I hope it is a light reminder to be here now (wherever you are). I am a dreamer by nature and find presence through touch and the physical world, through the senses.

So, I interpret meaning through the landscape of connection and contact. It is the feel of my fingertips racing over the keyboard, the light gathering at sunset, or the scent of summer grass and rain. They're all ways I use my senses to become present, or better said, aware. It is our awareness that we want to awaken so that we can live fully. Awareness lets us know when we're in danger and when we're safe, when we can take action, and when to hold still. It is our attention that gives meaning to the moments we live.

You may not see the world through the same lens that I do, and that's amazing. Your uniqueness matters, and your path to awareness may come through another form of expression or interpretation. What is important is that you draw your energy to yourself, that you are awake and aware of your life, and engaged with what you're experiencing. These thoughts are coming from the last few sound offerings given, rituals, and bodywork sessions where I am holding space for people.

Below is a lucid and dreamy playlist that centers me while working and helps me stay in the moment. Enjoy.

Let me know your thoughts. I am genuinely curious and want to know what came up for you.

Cheers,

Ben
